چکیده

Total Abdominal Hysterectomy is a major invasive abdominal surgery which accompanied with severe post-operative pain. Multimodal analgesia techniques can provide efficient analgesic coverage minimal side effects, Quadratus Lumborum Block an wall block gives good effect for lower pain score and less requirement opioids. A 67-year-old female was scheduled to undergo total hysterectomy surgery. The patient presented comorbidities, morbid obesity, bronchial asthma, obstructive sleep apnea hypothyroidism. procedure performed under general anesthesia by the end of surgery, carried out using ultrasound-guided technique. bilaterally successfully able sufficient post hysterectomy, thus, provided patient's not only opportunity early ambulation but also avoided adverse effects opioids (especially respiratory complications). [Ultrasound guided quadratus lumborum block for analgesia after cesarean delivery: case series].

INTRODUCTION The majority of women having planned cesarean section receive spinal anesthesia for the procedure. Typically, spinal opioids are administered during the same time as a component of multimodal analgesia to provide pain relief in the 16-24h period postoperatively. The quadratus lumborum block is a regional analgesic technique that blocks T5-L1 nerve branches and has an evolving role ...

Evaluation of USG Guided Transversus Abdominis Plane Block for Post- Operative Analgesia in Total Abdominal Hysterectomy Surgeries

Introduction and aims: Transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block is a fascial plane block providing postoperative analgesia in patients undergoing surgery with infraumbilical incision. This single blind prospective randomized control study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the TAP block for postoperative pain, as part of a multimodal analgesic regimen in patients undergoing TAH. Material and...

Quadratus lumborum block for post-operative pain relief in patient with Prune belly syndrome

Abdominal field blocks are commonly used as part of multimodal analgesia for post-operative pain relief in patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Conventionally, transversus abdominis plane block is used, but has the disadvantage of limited spread only to T10-T12 segments, providing only partial pain relief. The new quadratus lumborum (QL) block has the advantage of providing wider sensory bloc...

Anterior Quadratus Lumborum Block Versus Transversus Abdominis Plane Block with Liposomal Bupivacaine: A Case Report

A more posterior approach for abdominal wall blocks was described by Dr. Blanco as Quadratus Lumborum (QL) block. We performed the first reported transmuscular QL block using liposomal bupivacaine. We are describing the technique we used as well as other approaches used for QL block. This case report showed that QL block using a single dose of Liposomal Bupivacaine provided a sensory level and ...
